COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 4TH FEBRUARY 2009

Matters
Arising
The
Committee had discussed at length an increase in trial entry fees for 2009 from
£12 to £15 and Eric confirmed that Bognor club would be charging £15 per rider,
Horsham Riders £12 per rider and South Coast £15 per rider in 2009.
Presently we just about break even, with the monies collected covering
the cost of land, insurance, staple guns, the Newsletter, etc. At the end of 2008 we have a “surplus” of
£400 and this will go towards trophies for Club championships, Old Codger and
the Star Group trial. However, we feel
it will be in the best interests of our members to keep the trial entry fees at
£12 per adult and £8 per child for 2009.
If we find that we have to use our capital reserves for the day to day
running of the Club we will reassess the situation at the end of the year.
Secretary’s Report
We have received details of the AMCA AGM on 28 February
2009.
Treasurer’s Report
We currently have £214 in the current account, and £13634 in the tracker account.
Rick Parish will be auditing our accounts for our September 2008 year end.

Competition Secretary’s Report
Our next
trial will be at Blacklands Farm on 15th February.
Richard has
re-scheduled the Training Trials for the end of the month so that they do not
clash with Surrey Schoolboys’ events.
See the website for dates.
Roger
Farmer has informed us that the cost of evening trials at Betchworth will now
be £5.00 per rider. We had previously
had to pay £200 for up to 40 riders which had worked out expensive for us as
only a small number of riders attend evening trials. Pete will see if we can improve on this if we agree to hold all
three of our evening trials at Don’s. PJ
We will
then decide if we plan to hold all three evening trials at Don’s or hold one at
Don’s, one at Sparticles Wood and one at Beare Green.
Social Secretary’s Report
Our
committee night out at the Red Lion at Betchworth on Saturday 31st
January was a great success with a convivial evening enjoyed by all. Our thanks go to Jo for organising a superb
evening.
The meeting
room has been booked at the Home Cottage, Redhill, on 25th February,
7.30pm for 8.00pm start, buffet to be provided at 9.00pm.
We are
pleased to announce that Debbie Don has put herself forward as a nominee for
the vacant position of Editor, as Dave will be standing down at this year’s
AGM.
Wednesday 4th March 2009 at the Home Cottage,
Redstone Hill, Redhilll.
