December is here again and it seems like only last month that we were planning events for 2006. At present I do not yet have a full schedule of events for 2007 but am able to confirm that our first two events for 2007 will be Shamley Green on Sunday 21st of January and Blacklands Farm on the 18th of February. Usually January is at Hanging Wood, Godstone, but sadly we are no longer allowed to use this land as the owner has laid a new driveway and does not want all the vehicles and bikes damaging it. If you read TMX regularly you will no doubt be aware of the continued demise of land for off-road motorsport and although Hanging Wood is no longer available we did gain some new land this year at Sparticles Wood, Hooley. Committee member Dick Coles was key in organising this and is actively looking for more land, so if any members have any information on possible land, then please let him know so that it can be pursued. Hopefully I'll be in a position to publish a full diary of events for 2007 in the January newsletter.

You may have noticed that the Club newsletter was somewhat lacking in content last month with only Antony's input and the results to publish. Being responsible for the Club's newsletter can be quite frustrating at times especially when with 160 members, not one member submits any news, comments or even pictures to work with. During this year both work and family commitments have meant that I've been unable to ride in every Club event and so not in a position to comment, when I do ride I like to take some pictures, but this can be difficult as riding with a camera over your shoulder whilst tackling a section can be a bit awkward. Unfortunately my camera has now died and I will not be in a position to replace it until early next year, so please if anyone taking pictures can email them to me for possible inclusion in the newsletter it'll be much appreciated. As for articles, it would be nice to have some comments from other riders, in particular some feedback from junior riders, pre '67 riders, or beginners.

Finally, a big thank you to those who have contributed in 2006 and to all those members who have dragged their bikes out of the shed during the year to compete and support your Club, lets hope that we see a few more of you riding in 2007. That's all from me, have a good Christmas and New Year.
