First Evening Trial
What a fantastic turn out for this year's first evening Trial! 31 riders and so many wives,
girlfriends and children that Shelley and I lost count. One look at the number of cars in the car
park told us we were going to have our work cut out cooking the barbecue for so many
people. Despite running out of drinks and losing track of people who paid for their food in
advance and were waiting for it to cook (sorry, Anthony and Pat - I promise you will be served
first next time) I think we managed pretty well. Two hours later, having cooked 70 burgers and
sausages, Shelley and I had a well earned rest. I hope you all had a good time and I have
ideas to make things run more smoothly at the next evening BBQ. I did say "never again" but
it sounds like I've just volunteered!
