Update. 27 November We have been unable to secure "Hungry Hill" due to the objections of English Nature. Therefore we now plan to hold it at Bagshot Heath on 6 April 2003.

We are hoping to reinstate the Old Codger Trial next year. Some of you may not know that the club has run this trial nine times in the past. It caters for the enthusiasts who ride pre-1965 motorcycles and in latter years has taken place on MoD land at Hungry Hill. We have had in excess of two hundred riders and the trial has always been well received. Two years ago the MoD cancelled the land booking due to an objection from English Nature as a rare bird was nesting in the area. Last year the land was off limit due to the Foot & Mouth epidemic.

A sub-committee consisting of Steve Whitmore, Neville Lewis, Don Morley, Derek Tickner-Wand, Bruce & Margaret Clarke will try to get the trial up and running to celebrate its tenth anniversary. We have already put out feelers and discussed some ideas. We will have to consider both the venue and the time of year as well as the number of riders we can accommodate. If you have any bright ideas or suggestion please let us know. Our first meeting will be on 30th October. We'll let you know how we progress.
